How to identify T12 Tube

T means tubular and 12 represents twelve eighths of an inch, or 1½ inches, in nominal diameter. Base styles vary by length and system.

Common applications

Older offices, schools, workshops, warehouses, signs, industrial facilities and retrofit projects involving existing fluorescent fixtures.

Technologies and base options

T12 lamps are primarily fluorescent, with LED retrofit options available for selected lengths and bases. Fluorescent systems may use magnetic or electronic ballasts.
