Background
Established in 2007 as Bulb World Lighting, the initial company concept was to offer a retail outlet where consumers could purchase light bulbs of almost every type, filling an unmet need at that time. Offering with the widest variety of bulbs in Jamaica, Bulb World Lighting received approval by the Bureau of Standards and began supplying specialized bulbs to hospitals for their operating theatres, microscopes, projectors, fiber-optics, endoscopes, bio-medical equipment, and more. These established sales joined those to customers in the tourism and hospitality sector – hotels; the fine art world; and traditional businesses and households. Incorporated as Bulb World Lighting Ltd in 2011, our products also include energy savers such as compact fluorescent lamps and LED bulbs; halogens; incandescent bulbs and bulbs for audio-visual equipment, HID lamps and general lighting.
In addition to supplies, Bulb World Lighting Ltd offers a series of professional services to which we bring over 50 years of combined experience and training to every job undertaken. From lighting audits to layout and design of electrical wiring – and installation – clients can depend on us to be their one-stop lighting experts and suppliers. Providing business requirement definitions; developing functional specifications for client approval; offering cost saving and energy efficient options; as well as providing the expertise and products to complete any lighting job, are all a part of why customers have come to rely on Bulb World Lighting Ltd.
As a combined service/product initiative, Bulb World Lighting Ltd also provides an inventory management service, whereby we reduce customer’s carrying cost by stocking their inventory. We also provide the necessary items on a timely basis through an efficient delivery service. Some clients reported savings of thousands of dollars on their monthly electric costs due to the initiatives of Bulb World Lighting Ltd.

Services
Electrical Consultancy Services – a consultation is offered once a client or a walk in customers request the interest in purchasing any one of our products.
Installation Services – Installation services not only applied to clients that have conducted business with us, but other clients who have their own products and require and qualified technician to complete the tasks.
Our services have also expanded to include energy audits and we are continuing to diversify into alternative, renewable energy sources. Furthermore, we now have in-house, a qualified designer and electrician who can complete any job from audit to installation
Achievements
To date Bulb World Lighting Ltd has partnered with Solar Direk – A renewable Energy Solution that will provide. Solar Direk is a one-stop energy store that carries all the components of solar energy systems, catering to residential and commercial clients. Having this partnership will enlarge our target market reaching out to more homeowners and commercial businesses. Solar Direk is the leading provider of renewable energy solutions in Jamaica, forming an alliance also provides more array and access to top of the art solar energy saving products and services expanding our market.
Another great achievement is Bulb World Lighting Ltd. negotiated with HOME SOLUTIONS (Manufacturer of windows, doors, tiles and bathroom fixture) to place Bulb World Lighting Limited in their stores island wide. Home Solutions has stores in almost all fourteen (14) parishes. Bulb World Lighting Limited will now be available in almost all fourteen parishes for example, Falmouth, Sav-la-mar, Santa Cruz, etc.). Bulb World Lighting Ltd will become more accessible to medium and upper class clients, new and existing home owners and commercial businesses alike.
