BR30

A bulged-reflector format designed to produce broad, soft-edged flood lighting.

Available Bulb Base

A bulged-reflector format designed to produce broad, soft-edged flood lighting.

How to identify BR30

BR means bulged reflector. BR30 has a nominal diameter of 30 eighths of an inch, or 3¾ inches.

Common applications

Recessed cans, kitchens, living areas, hospitality spaces and general retail illumination.

Technologies and base options

BR30 lamps have been produced in LED, incandescent, halogen and compact-fluorescent forms with different beam spreads and neck lengths.

Technologies represented in this library: LED, Incandescent, Halogen, Fluorescent.

Available base types: E26, E27.

Typical market availability

Technology Common wattage range Typical lumen range Common colour temperatures Common voltage options
LED 7–15 W 650–1200 lm 2200K, 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 5000K, 6500K 120V; 220–240V
INCANDESCENT 50–85 W 500–1000 lm Approximately 2700K 120V; 220–240V
HALOGEN 45–75 W 600–1100 lm Approximately 2800K–3000K 120V; 220–240V
FLUORESCENT 15–23 W 700–1200 lm 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4100K 120V; 220–240V

These are representative market ranges, not guaranteed limits. Availability varies by manufacturer, voltage, base, beam, region and product generation.

How to select the correct lamp

Match the recessed-can opening, lamp length and base, then choose lumens, colour temperature, beam spread and dimming capability.

Compatibility and safety

BR30 and PAR30 share a nominal diameter but produce different beam characteristics. BR lamps usually create a softer, broader flood.

Important: The library describes a lamp format, not a particular product. A shared shape does not guarantee matching voltage, base, dimensions, light distribution or control-gear requirements. Confirm the fixture label and product datasheet, or ask a Bulb World lighting specialist.

Replacement Notes

Match the recessed-can opening, lamp length and base, then choose lumens, colour temperature, beam spread and dimming capability.

Capability Warning

BR30 and PAR30 share a nominal diameter but produce different beam characteristics. BR lamps usually create a softer, broader flood.
