How to identify COB LED Strip Light

Closely packed LED chips sit beneath a nearly continuous phosphor layer, producing an even illuminated line rather than widely separated points.

Common applications

Display shelves, joinery, cabinets, shallow channels, coves, hospitality interiors and architectural details.

Technologies and connection options

COB construction is especially useful where the strip is directly visible or where limited diffuser depth makes conventional LED points noticeable.

Technologies represented in this library: LED.

Available base or connection types: Two-Pin Connector, Soldered Lead, Clip Connector.

Typical market availability

LED

Common power: 2–6 W

Typical output: 150–600 lm

Colour options: Approximately 2200K–6500K

Voltage: Commonly 12V or 24V DC

Notes: Power and output figures are per foot. Indoor and coated damp- or wet-location products exist.

These are representative market ranges, not guaranteed limits. Availability varies by manufacturer, voltage, length, environmental rating, region and product generation.

How to select the correct system

Compare voltage, strip width, wattage per foot, output, colour quality, cut interval, maximum run and the required driver or dimming system.

Compatibility and safety

COB construction does not automatically make a strip suitable for wet locations or enclosed channels. Confirm the stated environmental and thermal requirements.

Important: This library entry describes a lighting format, not a particular product. Similar appearance does not guarantee matching voltage, connectors, dimensions, output, environmental rating or control requirements. Confirm the product label and datasheet, or ask a Bulb World lighting specialist.

Replacement Notes
