A medium-to-large spherical globe lamp designed for decorative fixtures where the light source forms part of the visual design.
G means globe. Under the North American eighth-inch convention, G30 has a nominal diameter of 30 eighths of an inch, or approximately 3¾ inches.
Vanity bars, exposed pendants, decorative ceiling fixtures, restaurants, hotels, retail displays and architectural lighting.
G30 lamps are sold in LED and incandescent versions with clear, frosted, opal, tinted and filament-style finishes.
Technologies represented in this library: LED, Incandescent.
Available base types: E26, E27, B22.
| Technology | Common wattage range | Typical lumen range | Common colour temperatures | Common voltage options |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LED | 4–15 W | 300–1500 lm | 1800K, 2200K, 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K | 120V; 220–240V |
| INCANDESCENT | 25–100 W | 180–1300 lm | Approximately 2500K–2700K | 120V; 220–240V |
These are representative market ranges, not guaranteed limits. Availability varies by manufacturer, voltage, base, beam, region and product generation.
Measure the globe and total lamp length, then confirm base, voltage, finish, dimming, colour temperature and fixture clearance.
Globe designations are not applied identically in every market. Confirm the manufacturer’s stated diameter rather than selecting by the G-number alone.
Important: The library describes a lamp format, not a particular product. A shared shape does not guarantee matching voltage, base, dimensions, light distribution or control-gear requirements. Confirm the fixture label and product datasheet, or ask a Bulb World lighting specialist.
