A compact parabolic-reflector format used for controlled accent and display lighting.
PAR means parabolic aluminized reflector. PAR16 has a nominal diameter of 16 eighths of an inch, or 2 inches.
Track lighting, retail displays, galleries, hospitality accents, compact downlights and residential feature lighting.
PAR16 lamps are available in LED and halogen forms. Screw-base and GU10 versions use different sockets and may operate at different voltages.
Technologies represented in this library: LED, Halogen.
Available base types: E26, E27, GU10.
| Technology | Common wattage range | Typical lumen range | Common colour temperatures | Common voltage options |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| LED | 4–10 W | 300–800 lm | 2200K, 2700K, 3000K, 4000K, 5000K | 120V; 220–240V |
| HALOGEN | 25–75 W | 250–1000 lm | Approximately 2800K–3200K | 120V; 220–240V |
These are representative market ranges, not guaranteed limits. Availability varies by manufacturer, voltage, base, beam, region and product generation.
Identify the exact base and voltage, then compare beam angle, centre-beam intensity, colour rendering, lamp length, dimming and environmental rating.
GU10 and screw-base PAR16 products are not interchangeable. Do not select only by reflector diameter or visual appearance.
Important: The library describes a lamp format, not a particular product. A shared shape does not guarantee matching voltage, base, dimensions, light distribution or control-gear requirements. Confirm the fixture label and product datasheet, or ask a Bulb World lighting specialist.
