R50

A compact 50-millimetre reflector lamp used for small spot and accent-lighting fixtures.

Available Bulb Base

A compact 50-millimetre reflector lamp used for small spot and accent-lighting fixtures.

How to identify R50

R indicates a reflector lamp and 50 refers to an approximate face diameter of 50 millimetres. It is smaller than R63 and R80.

Common applications

Display cabinets, small spotlights, bedside fixtures, track fittings and compact recessed lights.

Technologies and base options

R50 lamps are manufactured in LED, incandescent and halogen versions with different beams and base combinations.

Technologies represented in this library: LED, Incandescent, Halogen.

Available base types: E14, E26, E27.

Typical market availability

LED

Common wattage: 3–8 W

Typical output: 250–700 lm

Colour temperature / output: 2200K–6500K

Voltage: 120V; 220–240V

Notes: Dimmable and non-dimmable versions exist.

Incandescent

Common wattage: 25–60 W

Typical output: 180–650 lm

Colour temperature / output: Approximately 2700K

Voltage: 120V; 220–240V

Notes: Traditional reflector finish and beam options vary.

Halogen

Common wattage: 28–60 W

Typical output: 250–900 lm

Colour temperature / output: Approximately 2800K–3000K

Voltage: 120V; 220–240V

Notes: Generally brighter and whiter than comparable incandescent versions.

These are representative market ranges, not guaranteed limits. Availability varies by manufacturer, voltage, base, beam, finish, region and product generation.

How to select the correct lamp

Confirm the 50 mm diameter, base, voltage, fixture depth, beam spread, lumens, colour temperature and dimming requirement.

Compatibility and safety

R50 and similarly sized GU10 or MR16 lamps are not interchangeable. Match the actual base and fixture electrical system.

Important: The library describes a lamp format, not a particular product. A shared shape does not guarantee matching voltage, base, dimensions, light distribution or control requirements. Confirm the fixture label and product datasheet, or ask a Bulb World lighting specialist.

Replacement Notes

Confirm the 50 mm diameter, base, voltage, fixture depth, beam spread, lumens, colour temperature and dimming requirement.

Capability Warning

R50 and similarly sized GU10 or MR16 lamps are not interchangeable. Match the actual base and fixture electrical system.
