R80

A large 80-millimetre reflector lamp used for broad directional and flood illumination.

Available Bulb Base

A large 80-millimetre reflector lamp used for broad directional and flood illumination.

How to identify R80

R80 has an approximate face diameter of 80 millimetres and is visibly larger than R63 and R50 reflector lamps.

Common applications

Large recessed fixtures, retail displays, restaurants, workshops, galleries and general floodlighting.

Technologies and base options

R80 lamps are available in LED, incandescent and halogen forms with different beams, finishes and dimming characteristics.

Technologies represented in this library: LED, Incandescent, Halogen.

Available base types: E26, E27, B22.

Typical market availability

LED

Common wattage: 7–15 W

Typical output: 600–1500 lm

Colour temperature / output: 2200K–6500K

Voltage: 120V; 220–240V

Notes: Spot through flood distributions may be offered.

Incandescent

Common wattage: 60–100 W

Typical output: 500–1200 lm

Colour temperature / output: Approximately 2700K

Voltage: 120V; 220–240V

Notes: Traditional flood and reflector versions vary by market.

Halogen

Common wattage: 60–100 W

Typical output: 700–1400 lm

Colour temperature / output: Approximately 2800K–3000K

Voltage: 120V; 220–240V

Notes: Produces a bright directional beam with full-range dimming.

These are representative market ranges, not guaranteed limits. Availability varies by manufacturer, voltage, base, beam, finish, region and product generation.

How to select the correct lamp

Confirm the 80 mm diameter, base, voltage, fixture opening and depth, beam, lumens, colour temperature and dimming.

Compatibility and safety

R80, BR and PAR lamps of similar size can produce very different beams. A matching diameter does not guarantee equivalent light distribution.

Important: The library describes a lamp format, not a particular product. A shared shape does not guarantee matching voltage, base, dimensions, light distribution or control requirements. Confirm the fixture label and product datasheet, or ask a Bulb World lighting specialist.

Replacement Notes

Confirm the 80 mm diameter, base, voltage, fixture opening and depth, beam, lumens, colour temperature and dimming.

Capability Warning

R80, BR and PAR lamps of similar size can produce very different beams. A matching diameter does not guarantee equivalent light distribution.
