How to identify RGB LED Strip Light

RGB strip normally has four conductors: one shared supply connection and separate red, green and blue channels. Marked cut points and connection pads repeat along the strip.

Common applications

Events, entertainment spaces, hospitality, retail displays, signage, feature walls and architectural accents.

Technologies and connection options

A compatible RGB controller varies the red, green and blue channels to create different colours and effects. Mixed RGB white is not equivalent to a dedicated white-light channel.

Technologies represented in this library: LED.

Available base or connection types: Four-Pin RGB, Soldered Lead.

Typical market availability

LED

Common power: 3–5 W

Typical output: Product-specific / primarily decorative

Colour options: Dynamic RGB colour mixing

Voltage: Commonly 12V or 24V DC

Notes: Power figures are per foot. Requires a compatible RGB controller and power supply.

These are representative market ranges, not guaranteed limits. Availability varies by manufacturer, voltage, length, environmental rating, region and product generation.

How to select the correct system

Match voltage, strip width, wattage per foot, conductor order, controller type, driver capacity, cut interval and environmental rating.

Compatibility and safety

RGB and RGBW products use different conductor counts and controllers. Similar-looking four-pin connectors can also use different pin orders.

Important: This library entry describes a lighting format, not a particular product. Similar appearance does not guarantee matching voltage, connectors, dimensions, output, environmental rating or control requirements. Confirm the product label and datasheet, or ask a Bulb World lighting specialist.

Replacement Notes

Match voltage, strip width, wattage per foot, conductor order, controller type, driver capacity, cut interval and environmental rating.

Capability Warning

RGB and RGBW products use different conductor counts and controllers. Similar-looking four-pin connectors can also use different pin orders.
