A very slim fluorescent tube format developed for compact under-cabinet, display and architectural fixtures.
T means tubular and 2 represents a nominal diameter of two eighths of an inch, or approximately one-quarter inch. T2 systems use miniature connectors that vary by product family.
Under-cabinet lighting, shelf lighting, display cases, compact architectural details and specialized linear luminaires.
T2 fluorescent lamps were produced in multiple lengths and wattages with dedicated electronic control gear and miniature connector systems.
Technologies represented in this library: Fluorescent.
Available base types: W4.3×8.5d.
| Technology | Common wattage range | Typical lumen range | Common colour temperatures | Common voltage options |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| FLUORESCENT | 6–21 W | 300–1800 lm | 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, 6500K | Electronic ballast-operated |
These are representative market ranges, not guaranteed limits. Availability varies by manufacturer, voltage, base, beam, region and product generation.
Read the complete lamp and fixture codes. Match length, wattage, connector, ballast specification and colour designation rather than relying only on tube diameter.
T2 systems are highly product-specific and may have limited replacement availability. Similar miniature tubes and connectors are not automatically interchangeable.
Important: The library describes a lamp format, not a particular product. A shared shape does not guarantee matching voltage, base, dimensions, light distribution or control-gear requirements. Confirm the fixture label and product datasheet, or ask a Bulb World lighting specialist.
